富山県氷見市の町一帯を襲った悪病の退散祈願、平癒祈願を願う祭り
曳山も巡行しますがそれとは別に太鼓台と呼ばれる、獅子舞の時に後ろから付いていく台車のようなものが町内を巡行します。その際に他の町内同士が太鼓台をぶつけ合い祭りに賑わいを加えています。
華やかな曳山よりも、力強い太鼓台のぶつけ合いの方が見物客は多いです
